A typical day of work starts with traveling from hotel to vendor facility, start and opening meeting with vendor top management explaining the vendor the QA VF requirements, after finishing the opening meeting start the assessment or evaluation of the factory from incoming materials, cutting, sewing, finishing, special processes, until finish goods warehouse, including reviewing quality processes, goal achievements, best practices used in the process, 5's methodology, and then explain to the factory which are the areas of improvement identified during the assessment like: lack of standardized processes, missing processes, how to apply lean systems, quality level of the product, how to improve 5's program.
Then upload a report and summary the findings, inform the main office about non conformances and follow up factory until the get a score above 85%.
Factories included in this assessment are located in US, Mexico, Central America, China, Cambodia, Bangladesh, India, and many other countries in Asia.
I learned how to deal with different vendors around the world and the different needs of improvement in each country as well as what product runs better in each country
