Heavy workload and no job advancement
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  HONG KONG, HKDecember 11, 2017
All colleagues overworked seriously but the management level could not bother to improve the working environment. Extremely high turnover rate because no one can stand such heavy workload.

Bureaucratic, but Great People & Location
Board Member (Current Employee) –  Hong KongAugust 22, 2017
HKU is a top class university in terms of location and it is able to attract many excellent students and faculty. The culture of the university is lively, but the bureaucratic processes could be reduced to make working processes more efficient and adaptive.

There are poor career path, no work life balance at all, unbelievably low salary, incompetent supervisors communicating by yelling and humiliating people.

Supportive management. The most enjoyable part of this job is I can apply what I have learnt. There are many policies to follow.

Sufficient time for individual development and life balance with low salary and limited career advancement
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  Hong Kong, HKMay 7, 2014
There are daily works you have to complete before starting your projects for the day. Answer emails, phone calls, and walk in students' questions. Management is in general supportive and co-workers are very friendly and do not mind to teach anything they know.
Pros
Not much overtimes needed
Cons
Repetitive work
