I was work for 5 days per week, from 8am to 6pm, as a part-time barista in Starbuck.I have learn 3 things there.Smile, always be friendly and ask questions. These things not only important for customer service, but also really in my future career and whole life.The management was really impressive.Boss became one with employees.The hardest part of the job was being fast, because HK is a busy city and everyone don't have time for wait.But that made me can work under stress and being fast during work.The best part of the job was service different people that made me feel I am connected with the world.
Barista (Part-time) (Former Employee) – Sai Kung, New Territories – July 22, 2019
Starbucks provides training for every new baristas. They would learn about the basic history of coffee and the company, modern coffee culture and how to make drinks that are in the menu. However, I would not recommend to anyone who wants to develop a career in the coffee industry.
