Eye opening on how a Global Bank's Regional Head Quarter for Asia Pacific operates. Pick up more soft skills and learning how to work in a very big family on small, big, sensitive cases. I love HSBC cultures - Open, Dependable, Connectedness. It will be awesome if I could get a job with HSBC at San Francisco or firms which share similar culture.

HSBC has a wide network of branches around the globe. Its network provides distinctive convenience to the global customer, who is required to travel different places. Especially, on the fund transfer, it waives the commission fee. And it provides the staff more opportunities to meet with colleague from different cultures.
Pros
meet with people from different cultures
Cons
Low pay

Senior Audit Manager, Finacial Crime Risk team (Former Employee) –  Hong Kong, HKJuly 19, 2018
HSBC created new team and in a short period of time, removed the function.

With the shocking turnover rate, HSBC should think of what the senior mangement have done to drive so many people away in very short period of time. Some were even willing to pay back relocation package.

All colleagues are very nice in this company. I worked here for 6 years around and made a lot of friends here.
I started my Settlement operation jobs here and I learned everything started from here.
Colleagues are willing to offer help and teach when I was a new joiner. After some years when I became a Senior Staff I became the mentor for new joiners and guide them to do the work in the department.
Very good culture and nice people.

Bank Teller (Former Employee) –  Hong Kong, HKMay 16, 2018
HSBC(HK) is a tough place to work at. If you didn't meet your target, you will need to stay very late find other potential customer, if that didn't work for you, you will be asked to resign. If you able to meet your target, you will be just fine.
Cons
high work pressure
