good pay, smart management team
job security depends on financial market performance
I worked two years in Goldman Sachs as an Executive Secretary soon after I got my bachelor of arts and business administration. I worked in the financial control department serving the financial controller as well as all her subordinates. It was a very busy and stressful work environment, however, I enjoyed the working relationship with some of the team members, some of them I am still keeping in touch today.
Excellent salary and benefits
My ambition of working in human psychology was not in line with the nature of the business
The best company culture and environment to bring out all your hidden talents and potential. Elitism comes first. You will be proud to identify yourself with Goldman. If you are a victor, an elite, an aggressive person eager to achieve, Goldman suits you.
work with talented and smart people, great benefits
Analyst (Former Employee) – Hong Kong, HK – August 10, 2017
great work environment people. however junior employees are expected to figure out what to do on their own. not much of a practical training program but a lot of "trainings" that are not really useful...
Goldman Sachs is a truly global company which provides very inclusive working environment for talents with various background. Working in Goldman could be very stressful and competitive. It also has its very unique posting culture which allows the firm to keep the transparency with all its employees as well as to its clients. Here, you could meet and work with the most capable people and this is the most rewarding experience working for the firm.
Great internal culture, collaborative environment where colleagues are very willing to offer mentor advice on how to navigate the company. You must be proactive to ask though as colleauges operate on meritocracy and proactiveness.
Operations (Current Employee) – Hong Kong – November 21, 2015
GS provides extensive training resources and it is up to individuals if they want to leverage these resources. Operations team will get great exposure on high-profile business events. Culture of Diversity Culture of Excellence Culture of Meritocracy
The office enviromment is very professional and competitive. It makes best of you to come out at work. Everyone strives hard to meet target on time and without any defect. The hardest part of the job is the ever increasing work load and performance pressure. Good place to work if you enjoy working on highly competitive environment.
they hire the best of the best for every role, and the pressure to perform is prevalent everyday. you will be challenged positively, and compensated in positive correlation to your results. this is not a place for the stagnant mind, and you will need to network continuously to survive the politics with constant turnovers
