A trough of low pressure is an extension of an area of low pressure. It is called a trough because the atmospheric pressure over the region is lower than its two adjacent sides, in contrast to a ridge of high pressure.

Assistant (Internship) (Former Employee) –  Hong Kong, HKOctober 25, 2017
it is a large insurance company and very competitive environment. Young people, good pay, i guess. It is located in HongKong. If you want to learn about insurance, it is a good choice.

Hierarchical culture
Senior Manager, Employee Communications (Former Employee) –  Hong KongAugust 30, 2017
The culture is hierarchical and hence staff tend to follow directions from above all the time. Staff do not have much passion in their jobs. The management started to realise the problem and they wanted to do something to improve the culture.
Pros
Benefits: Insurance
Cons
Hierarchical culture

Bureaucratic and lack of work life balance
Assistant Manager - Group Internal Audit (Former Employee) –  WanchaiMarch 31, 2015
The people overall are nice. However, poor management structure making the environment very political and bureaucratic. Everyone seemed to be money driven.

The hardest part of the job is the lack of work life balance and good employee healthcare and benefits. The company seemed to seek profits off from its own employees by selling its own products and mandate employees to purchase 5% of the salary for MPF.
Pros
Free promotional items such as cups/t-shirts/cupcakes
Cons
Long hours with lack of rewards
